About

My work is the designing and production of furniture, primarily through use of American grown hardwoods. My main principle in my designs is creating a product that successfully solves a dumb problem that arises with living in the modern world. Be it from unique nesting tables, repurposable for daily life to to extra long serving trays that can be placed across a chair to creating a dining area, all the way to triangular side and couch table to facilitate better movement and flow through an apartment all the while still being repurposable if living space changes. All built with sustainable hardwoods sourced locally from Maine.

In my craft I additionally focus on pushing the design of furniture past what is easily producible and more commonly seen from large companies and other woodworkers. This is achieved by straying from keeping with 90 degree joints and looking towards more complex geometries and how they can be achieved through joinery and jig making. Additional to this is the inclusion of other techniques and materials, from steam bending to casting and welding.
